Insanity (1990) is an ASCII PC game from 1990, released by New Era Software. Playing as a small face darting around a vast maze of hyphens, stars, and punctuations, evading enemies and answering riddles from such odd interlocutors as "The Chocolate Fiend," Insanity is an off-kilter low-budget maze escape title, riddled with a dry British humor synonymous with its era.
