Grief is a 2D side-scrolling platform game, in which the player is cast as a small boy who lost his long-time smoking father to lung cancer. He goes through the five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance, each being represented as a playable level. Not only the graphics and music change depending on the stage, but also the gameplay mechanics.
